Matlock Bath

Situated in a limestone gorge adjacent to Matlock is Matlock Bath, a spa town which grew up around on the banks of the River Derwent at the bottom of the gorge.

Above Matlock Bath are the Heights of Abraham, a rocky outcrop offering outstanding views over the gorge and the Matlock valley.

Facing the Heights of Abraham on the opposite side of the gorge is High Tor, another rocky outcrop which is popular with climbers.
