Matlock

Situated in the deep and broad valley Matlock is a large town lying on the River Derwent in the Peak District area of Derbyshire (although it falls just outside of the national park itself).

Adjacent to Matlock is the spa town of Matlock Bath.

Matlock itself is these days considered to be the county town of Derbyshire (not Derby!) as the county's main administrative centre.
