Dovedale

The Goyt Valley is the valley of the River Goyt, which runs northwards along the western side of the Peak District near Buxton.

There are two reservoirs in the valley, Errwood and Fernilee.

Towering over the valley near the village of Wetton is a high limestone crag, punctured by the gaping entrance of Thor's Cave
