Busby Stoop

The Busby Stoop Inn

By the old cross roads of the A61 and the A167 (which is now a roundabout) just outside Carlton Miniott (on the outskirts of Thirsk) stands a curry house which was formerly the Busby Stoop Inn, made famous (nay - infamous) by the chilling tale of Thomas Busby and the pub's allegedly haunted death chair (which is now safely displayed as an exhibit in the museum in Thirsk).
