Spurn Head is a narrow spit of land at the mouth of the Humber Estuary which marks the southeasternmost point of the Yorkshire Coast.

Under constant siege from the elements, the sifting sands around Spurn Head are in a state of almost constant flux, and the lonely road which runs along its length is often breached by the ever hostile North Sea. There is a bird sanctuary and a lifeboat station here, but little else...
