The Manifold Valley is the valley of the River Manifold, which cuts through limestone hills in the "White Peak" area of the Peak District.
A railway line once ran through the valley, but this has long since been dismantled and its route along the valley is now used as a footpath and cycleway known as the "Manifold Trail".
Towering over the valley near the village of Wetton is a high limestone crag, punctured by the gaping entrance of Thor's Cave
