With its vast expanses of open moorland, forests and valleys there are plenty of opportunities for walking and rambling in the North Yorks Moors.

Several long distance footpaths cross the area, including Wainwright's celebrated Coast to Coast route, the Cleveland Way, and the Lyke Wake Walk.
