Pickering Station in Pickering is the southern terminus of the North York Moors Railway - a famous steam railway which carries passengers through the heart of the North York Moors National Park to the villages of Goathland (famous as "Aidensfield" in the popular TV series Heartbeat) and the north eastern terminus at Grosmont, near Whitby on the Yorkshire Coast.
